ATTT enables new online registration of traffic tickets

The Authority of Transit and Land Transportation (ATTT) launched a new digital system that allows drivers to register and validate your traffic tickets online, without the need to go to the offices in person. This measure is part of the modernization of public services and the digital transformation of the Panamanian State.

If you received a ballot and do not know how to register it or what this new modality implies, here we explain step by step everything you need to know.

What is the online registration of traffic tickets?

It is a system enabled by the ATTT that allows any driver to enter, review, validate and pay a traffic infraction through the internet. The process can be completed in less than 24 hours and is available from any device.

This process replaces the manual registration that previously could only be done at the entity's headquarters.

How is payment made?

  • Enter to: www.transito.gob.pa
  • Click on the payment button.
  • You can pay:
    • Violations (from the oldest to the most recent)
    • Licensing procedures
  • You will need:
    • License number
    • Control number (located on the front right side, in vertical position)

What are the most significant changes?

Everything is done online.
Registration available 24/7.
Faster validation and payment.
No more long lines or long processes.
It is no longer necessary to physically present yourself.

Legal implications of digital registration

Online registration is not only a convenient option: it is also a legal duty. All ballots must be registered to avoid:

  • Additional penalties for non-validation.
  • Suspension of vehicle procedures.
  • Accrued interest or surcharges.
  • Difficulties when renewing a license plate or license.

In addition, when completed online, the registry generates an electronic record with legal validity.

This new system marks an important step forward in the digitalization of public services in Panama. It allows drivers to save time, avoids queues, streamlines processes and strengthens the transparency of the transit system.
