Panama has taken an important step towards tax transparency with the launching of the Tax Lottery<\/strong>, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF)<\/strong> which seeks to incentivize consumers to request invoices with their RUC<\/strong> on every purchase. This tool not only promotes commercial formality, but also rewards those who comply with their fiscal duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Below, we explain in detail how it works, how to participate and its benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it and how does it work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is a program that rewards consumers who order electronic invoices with your RUC<\/strong> every time they purchase a good or service.
Each valid invoice is automatically converted into a participation<\/strong> within the draws to be carried out periodically by the MEF.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is considered a valid participation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The more purchases you make by requesting an invoice, the more chances you have to participate and win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to participate?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    It is very simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Always request electronic invoices with your RUC.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Every purchase is another chance to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Check that the invoice has been duly issued.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Verify that your data is correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Follow the MEF announcements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    They will be announced there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. You do not need to register additionally<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Your RUC is your identifier. Once the invoice is registered in the system, you automatically participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In addition to participating in the drawings, the Tax Lottery offers direct benefits to citizens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Rewards for requesting invoices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Users will be eligible to win financial prizes (as announced by the MEF in each drawing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Requesting an invoice guarantees that your purchase is formalized and registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Contribution to a more formal economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
